This group runs as three 12-week sessions between September and June, and practices three times per week for one hour each practice. Fees can be prorated if a swimmer starts the program mid-session. Swimmers progress from Little Lakers 2 into this group. For new swimmers, a tryout is required prior to registration at this level. Swimmers will improve their skills on the four competitive swimming strokes, as well as racing starts, turns and push-offs. The goal of this program is to continue to learn and develop skills in order to graduate into the Lakeshore Swim Club competitive program.
Little Lakers 3 is available in two sections, each with a 12-swimmer cap in order to maintain quality swimmer to coach ratios. Families can choose whichever section is most convenient for them as long as there is space.
Swimmers in Little Lakers 3 have the option to compete in up to two Swim Ontario sanctioned meets per year. Details for these competitive opportunities are communicated well in advance, and swimmers can opt in at any time for an additional one-time fee.
As of March 29, 2025, LL3 swimmers must be born on or after September 1, 2014.
